Water rates continue to increase, and fewer and fewer landlords are including water rates in the rent. 

Many students will be unaware that Bristol residents can request a water meter for free, and the process is designed to be simple. Having a water meter saves significant money for most households, and encourages sustainable water use.

The Students' Union should support students to get a water meter through promotion campaigns, clear information, and outreach.
