As the Hindu community in the university grows, there is now a need for a permanent Hindu Prayer Space on campus. There is already accessible provision for Christianity, Judaism and Islam worship and a Hindu prayer room would follow in this inclusive approach taken by the University. This will be another step in making a large part of the multicultural student body feel at home and cared for and form a safe welcoming space for Hindus particularly in a time of growing Hinduphobia. Many other progressive universities have provided this and found a positive change for their students and community.
