Want to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy some friendly competition? Intramural Sport is a fun, inclusive way to play weekly matches with your course mates, societies, halls, or friends. Sports on offer: Why join? Intramural Sport is already running for the 2026/27 academic year, with fixtures taking place across Bristol. Our Events programme brings creativity, culture and community to life, with large-scale events taking place in spaces including the Anson Rooms in the Richmond Building. There’s an exciting new addition to the Richmond Building this term, with the launch of the new and improved Anson Rooms Bar! To celebrate, we’re kicking things off with an exciting Beer Pong Tournament on 30 September, 19:00 - 22:00. A great way to meet new people or make new memories with old friends. Will your team emerge victorious and take home the Beer Pong Cup? We are very excited to host local drag legend @smallwillynelson from @chapsandstraps for a night of Line Dancing on 16 October 19:00 - 21:30. This event is a great way to let loose, meet new people and have fun all while learning to line dance 👯 Dress up encouraged - think cowboy hats, denim, leather - or just come as you are. You do not need to bring anything to take part! Ready to explore our new Temple Quarter Campus? Head to the Sloan Robinson Build, Paint, Race Car Craft on 7 October, 14:00 – 16:00. Get creative and put your building skills to the test as you design, paint and race your very own car. Whether you’re meeting new people or making new memories with friends, it’s the perfect chance to get stuck in and have some fun. And, as an alcohol-free event, everyone can join in! Who will take the chequered flag? 🏁 Our themed Anson Room fairs connect you with the support, opportunities, and communities that matter most. The Volunteering Fair takes place in the Anson Rooms on Wednesday 7 October. It’s a chance to meet organisations from the local community, discover volunteering opportunities and find a way to get involved alongside your studies. The Housing Fair takes place on Wednesday 1 December and is a great opportunity to find out more about your housing options, meet relevant organisations and get support with renting and your rights as a student. Want to make a difference to your course or student community? The Bristol SU TB1 Elections are your chance to represent your peers, make the change you want to see and help shape the student experience. Nominations are open until 5pm on Wednesday 23 September, so there’s still time to get involved. This year’s TB1 Elections include Course Rep, Faculty Rep, Student Community Organiser, Democratic Standards Committee and JCR roles, giving you the opportunity to represent your course, faculty, community or halls. Course Rep roles are for first-year undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate taught (PGT) students. And this term, putting yourself forward as course rep is simple. There's no personal statement to write and no campaigning required. If your position isn't contested, you'll become a course rep automatically. Faculty Rep roles are open to PGT students only, giving you the opportunity to represent the issues and priorities of students in your faculty. You don’t need previous experience to stand for a role. Find out more and nominate yourself before the deadline. Your voice doesn’t stop at elections. Student Council is an important part of Bristol SU’s democratic structure, giving student representatives the opportunity to discuss the issues that matter to students and help shape the direction of the Students’ Union. The first Student Council of the academic year takes place on 15 October, with a second meeting coming up on 3 December. Keep an eye out for more information about upcoming Student Council meetings and how you can get involved.
